NEW YORK Demand for grain-oriented electrical steel is showing a welcome recovery in North America, serving to offset continued weakness on the international front, AK Steel Corp. chairman, president and chief executive officer James L. Wainscott said, calling the market both "a good news and a bad news story."
"The electrical steel market has shown signs of strengthening in the United States, but has exhibited continued signs of weakness overseas," Wainscott told analysts during an earnings call Tuesday.....
