CHICAGO — Gerdau’s North American special steel division has installed a new continuous caster at its Monroe, Mich., steel works, which makes engineered special bar quality (SBQ) products.
The caster—which was unveiled Wednesday—is part of a broader $155-million capital investment program to increase production capacity and quality at the mill by the end of next year.....
