Ford in talks with union over UK assembly plant’s future

LONDON Ford Motor Co. is in talks with employees and unions in the United Kingdom who fear the company is about to close its Southampton assembly plant, the Unite union said Thursday.
The move follows a Wednesday announcement by Ford that it would end production at its Genk, Belgium, car assembly plant by the end of 2014 (amm.com, Oct. 24).....
