NEW YORK Orbite Aluminae Inc. will install a separation plant to process rare earth oxides at its high-purity alumina facility in Quebec as demand increases for the specialty materials, it said.
The Montreal-based company had been planning to produce gallium oxide and scandium oxide at its metallurgical-grade alumina plant, which is slated to come online in late 2013 or 2014. But with demand for rare earths on the....
