Aluminum alloy prices under pressure

NEW YORK — Free-market aluminum alloy prices have fallen again, with one consumer reporting being offered North American special aluminum alloy contract (Nasaac) metal at 96 cents per pound.
A380.1 dropped to a range of $1 to $1.02 per pound Thursday from $1.01 to $1.03 previously, while both A360.1 and A413.1 alloys dropped to a range of $1.07 to $1.09 from $1.08 to $1.10 respectively.
While one alloy producer said he had sold A380.1 at $1.05 per pound, the majority of producers contacted by AMM said they were unable to maintain higher prices amid the Nasaac decline.....
