Tenaris mulls Texas or La. for pipe mill site

CHICAGO — Tenaris SA plans to locate its new $1.5-billion seamless pipe mill in either Texas or Louisiana, a company spokeswoman told AMM Friday.

The steel tube and pipe maker expects to make a final decision in about two months, she said.

"The plant will be located either in Texas or Louisiana in order to be close to Houston, an international oil industry center, and to shale oil developments in the south of the country," the spokeswoman told AMM in an e-mail.....
