Alaska fines CCR Mining for alleged wastewater release

NEW YORK CCR Mining Co. has been assessed a $12,000 penalty by Alaskas Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) for alleged illegal wastewater discharges and permit violations.
The agency said that in 2011 the mining operation discharged waste into protected waters some 83 miles northeast of its Fairbanks, Alaska, headquarters.....
