West Coast structural tube hike seen unlikely

LOS ANGELES — A price hike on structural steel tubing continues to elude the West Coast.

Buyers and mill sources both said late last week that, unlike their counterparts east of the Rockies, producers in the region have yet to make a move to boost pricing.

"They would like to, but we don’t see it happening," one distributor said of the likelihood of an imminent price hike by West Coast mills.....
