CHICAGO Vallourec SA has started pipe production at its new seamless tubulars mill in Youngstown, Ohio, with the first sales expected in early 2013.
The Boulogne-Billancourt, France-based steel tube and pipe producer said Monday that production from the new mill will be largely small-diameter oil country tubular goods (OCTG) used to extract oil and natural gas from shale reserves in the United States. Initial production capacity at the facility is expected to be 350,000....
