PITTSBURGH Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc. (Arca) drew red ink in the third quarter but is optimistic that a recent pickup in scrap prices and housing activity could spur more appliance recycling.
The Minneapolis-based company posted a quarterly net loss of $1.08 million in contrast to net income of nearly $1.76 million in the same period last year on sales that slid 19.2 percent to $28.98 million.....
