AK plans to demolish closed Ky. coke plant

NEW YORK — AK Steel has hired a contractor to demolish its Ashland, Ky., coke plant, a company spokesman confirmed.

The plant closed in 2011 after three years of being considered noncompliant with the Clean Air Act, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.....
