BARCELONA, Spain — Tinplate faces strong competition from other materials in the packaging industry, particularly in the beverage can sector, delegates at this week’s 10th International Tinplate Conference were told.
"Thirst for the aluminum beverage can is increasing worldwide," Tarun Daga, managing director of Tinplate Co. of India Ltd., said at the International Tin Research Institute (ITRI) conference.....
