NEW YORK Copper and brass shipments fell in September, according to the Copper and Brass Servicenter Association (CBSA).
Copper and brass shipments totaled more than 19.68 million pounds, down 14.9 percent from 23.14 million pounds in August and 8.1 percent lower than in September 2011, according to a survey by the Overland Park, Kan.-based trade group. Year-to-date shipments of 202.87 million pounds were down only marginally from 203.34 million pounds in the first nine months....
