Exide begins battery recycling plant shutdown

NEW YORK Exide Technologies has begun curtailing production at its lead battery recycling plant in Frisco, Texas, with the facility now set to shut its doors by the end of November.
Frisco plant manager David McKercher said in a letter to the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality last month that the company would begin "curtailing certain recycling operations" at the Frisco plant Nov. 1.....
