PITTSBURGH The owner of a Maryland scrapyard has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay restitution after being convicted of tax evasion.
Joseph S. Brightman, 55, of Baltimore will serve eight months in prison and pay $114,226 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for failing to file personal income taxes from 2000 through 2009. Brightman has already forfeited $80,000 in a separate case.....
