NEW YORK Zinc and lead demand in the United States rose slightly during the first nine months of 2012 from 2011 levels, with global supply continuing to exceed demand, according to preliminary data from the International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG).
The Lisbon, Portugal-based organization said that global lead metal production totaled 944,800 tonnes in September 2012, bringing the year-to-date total to 8.02 million tonnes. Thats up 2.2 percent year on year. ....
