ExlTube, Hanna boost prices $50/ton

CHICAGO — ExlTube Co. and Hanna Steel Corp. have separately announced plans to increase prices on tubular products by at least $50 per ton ($2.50 per hundredweight), throwing their weight behind a round of price increases recently announced by other domestic pipe and tube mills.

North Kansas City, Mo.-based ExlTube said it was raising prices for all square, rectangular and round mechanical and structural products by a minimum of $50 per ton, according to a Nov. 19 letter to customers.
