NEW YORK Mervis Industries Inc. has opened a 25-acre scrapyard in Crawfordsville, Ind., near steelmaker Nucor Corp.s steel mill, with plans to open another yard in Urbana, Ill., next year.
The new yard falls under the Danville, Ill.-based recyclers peddler-focused Advantage Recycling banner, and will accept ferrous, nonferrous and electronic scrap, company director Michael Mervis told AMM. ....
