Turkish ship scrap tags fall on lower offers for imports

BURSA, Turkey — Prices for ferrous scrap from Turkey’s domestic shipbreaking industry have fallen slightly, under pressure from declining offers for imported scrap.

Melting scrap from ship recycling is now being sold to mills in western Turkey at $378 to $385 per tonne delivered, $2 to $5 lower than last week, industry sources told AMM sister publication Steel First.....
