NEW YORK — Upstate Shredding LLC–Ben Weitsman & Son Inc. has bought the land of defunct scrap Ferromet Corp. at an auction early Thursday for $2.2 million, Upstate president Adam Weitsman told AMM.
Owego, N.Y.-based Upstate Shredding was one of five bidders on a deal that did not include Ferromet’s buildings or equipment, which Weitsman said were out of date and too small. ....
