Glencore’s Rosh Pinah site to use Luderitz for exporting

WINDHOEK, Namibia — Glencore International Plc’s Rosh Pinah zinc and lead subsidiary in Namibia will ship concentrates through the port of Luderitz in the southern part of the country starting next year in a bid to ease logistical constraints at the port of Walvis Bay.

Rosh Pinah is investing in the construction of bulk cargo handling facilities at Luderitz, situated about 181 miles from the mine, sources told AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin. ....
