NEW YORK U.S. East Coast bulk scrap prices to Turkey rose for the second consecutive day Friday after fresh sales were concluded at some $7 per tonne above Thursdays levels.
On Friday, sources confirmed that one exporter had sold a bulk cargo out of the Gulf Coast at $393 per tonne c.i.f. Turkey for prompt delivery of an 80/20 mix of No. 1 and No. 2 heavy melt (HMS 1&2). This was followed by reports of two East Coast sales that concluded at $387.50 and $392 per tonne, respectively, on an HMS 1&2 (80:20) basis. ....
