PITTSBURGH Ohio auto recyclers are breathing a sigh a relief after lawmakers adjourned without taking action on a bill that would open the states auto salvage market to individuals and out-of-state buyers.
The United Coalition of Ohio Auto Recyclers (UCOAR), the Ohio Auto and Truck Recyclers Association (OATRA) and the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) have argued that the bill would have weakened standards on who can buy salvage vehicles, potentially endangering public safety (amm.com, Nov. 21).....
