Aleris to close Bens Run by March

NEW YORK Aleris International Inc. will close its Bens Run aluminum recycling plant in Friendly, W.Va., by March 1, saying that despite its best efforts, "the facility is not meeting our business goals."
Aleris informed AMM of the decision Monday after confirming Thursday that it was "looking at discontinuing operations" at the plant (amm.com, Dec. 13).
The company informed employees Friday that it would be discontinuing operations at the plant, an Aleris spokesman said.....
