Voestalpine mulls Houston greenfield facility

NEW YORK — Austria’s Voestalpine Group is considering Houston as a possible location for a U.S. greenfield facility, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The possible project, estimated at some $1 billion, will transform raw iron ore into iron concentrate using natural gas in an unnamed southern city in the United States, Austrian media outlet Trend recently reported.....
