Harsco inks $225M contract with JSW Steel

NEW YORK — Harsco Corp. has signed a $225-million multiyear contract with JSW Steel Ltd. to provide onsite services at the Indian steelmaker’s Vijayanagar plant.

Harsco will provide resource recovery and slag management services at the Vijayanagar plant beginning in the second half of 2013.

"This is another major opportunity to extend Harsco’s industry leadership within one of the world’s principal steel-producing economies," Harsco Metals & Minerals Group chief executive officer Galdino Claro said in a statement Thursday. "We continue to build a stronger presence in this strategically important and growing region."....
