NEW YORK The imminent re-leasing of land operated by Sims Metal Management Ltd. at the Port of Albany is likely to trigger a heated bidding process as at least one other major recycling company has confirmed it will compete for the site.
Market sources and an official at the Albany Port District Commission said a 12-acre parcel at the New York port will be opened to a new lease bidding process sometime next week. ....
