NEW YORK — The revocation of an anti-dumping duty order on clad steel plate from Japan likely would lead to material injury to the domestic industry, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted Jan. 15 in a sunset review.
Domestic and foreign clad steel plate producers had clashed over the role of Japanese exports during an anti-dumping duty hearing last month in Washington (amm.com, Dec. 5). Duties on the product date back some 16 years, when the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration assessed a margin of 118.53 percent on Japanese producers.....
