Copper, brass prices drop on poor demand

NEW YORK — Brass ingot makers’ light copper scrap and No. 2 copper scrap prices have declined over the past week on poor demand.

Light copper scrap fell to a range of $3.12 to $3.16 per pound on Jan. 16 from $3.21 to $3.23 on Jan. 10, and is now trading at a discount of 45 to 49 cents per pound under Comex.....
