PITTSBURGH Kentucky legislators have proposed an expansion of existing scrap metal laws that would require recyclers to be registered as well as submit daily transaction details to a database.
The proposal (S.B.22), which has been sent to the Judiciary Committee for review, would give recyclers 60 days from the passage of the legislation to obtain a certificate of registration from the Office of Occupations and Professions of the Public Protection Cabinet. The cost....
