Vietnam’s scrap imports up in 2012; US still top supplier

SINGAPORE Vietnam imported 3.43 million tonnes of ferrous scrap last year, up 32.5 percent from 2011, according to recent figures from the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA).
The United States was the largest scrap supplier to Vietnam in 2012, as it has been for the past few years, VSA vice chairman and general secretary Dinh Huy Tam said. However,....
