China crude stainless steel output tops 16 million tonnes in ’12

SHANGHAI Chinas crude stainless steel production rose 14.2 percent to 16.09 million tonnes last year, according to the China Stainless Steel Council (CSSC).
Production of 300-series material rose 9.5 percent from 2011 to 7.93 million tonnes, accounting for 49.3 percent of the countrys total stainless production; 400-series output rose nearly 3 percent to 3.21 million tonnes....
