NEW YORK — U.S. stainless steel consumption and imports dropped in November compared with the same month a year earlier, according to data from the Specialty Steel Industry of North America (SSINA).
Domestic consumption of all stainless products totaled 186,533 short tons, down 2.4 percent from 191,202 tons in November 2011, while imports slipped 2.5 percent to 62,454 tons from 64,065 tons in the....
