NEW YORK — Upstate Shredding LLC-Ben Weitsman & Son Inc. has been denied a bid to purchase a scrapyard in Buffalo, N.Y.
The Owego, N.Y.-based company had a contract to buy the property if the requisite licenses were granted, but the Buffalo City Council unanimously voted down the recycler’s application for a wholesale junk license and a scrap metal processing license. ....
