Stainless steel prices up, but demand mixed

NEW YORK Stainless steel prices rose slightly alongside March surcharges, although many buyers are holding off in anticipation of lower tags in April, market participants said.
Prices for Type 304 cold-rolled sheet increased to $1.36 per pound from $1.35 a month ago, while Type 316L moved up to $1.88 from $1.87 per pound.....
