Texas legislation advocates use of EF slag on roads

PITTSBURGH A Texas congressman is pushing state legislation that would promote the use of electric-arc furnace (EF) slag and recognize it as being as beneficial as blast furnace slag on roads.
House Bill 2293 and House Concurrent Resolution 70 would specify that EF slag would be acceptable for use in road construction projects, including for paving, bridge construction and other appropriate road construction.....
