Arkansas county OKs $14.5M Big River grant

NEW YORK Mississippi County Quorum Court in Arkansas has unanimously approved a conditional $14.5-million grant for Big River Steel LLCs proposed flat-rolled steel project, according to a court spokesman.
The money will be used to improve physical infrastructure on the property provided the construction of the $1.1-billion project in Osceola, Ark., moves forward, the spokesman said. "It will be primarily used to improve infrastructure, including a large (natural) gas line that has to run about 14 miles from a center point main line.
