OSHA fines fabricators for alleged safety violations

NEW YORK Two fabricators, Juniper Elbow Co. Inc. and Rothe Welding Inc., have been fined a total of more than $160,000 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for alleged safety violations.
Queens, N.Y.-based Juniper Elbow was cited for allegedly failing to properly train, fit-test and medically evaluate workers who wear respirators, provide hazard communication training and prove that a hazard assessment had been conducted, all repeat violations.
