SDI to upgrade Jeffersonville galvanizing line

NEW YORK Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) will spend $7.8 million to upgrade components of its galvanizing line in Jeffersonville, Ind., in a move that could see the facilitys capacity climb by between 50,000 and 70,000 tons of coated steel products annually, according to Richard (Dick) Teets, SDIs president and chief operating officer for steel.
The expansion project, which has already received approval from SDIs board of directors, is expected to begin soon with commissioning anticipated by mid-2014just in time for a projected pick-up in coated product demand, Teets told AMM.....
