Ahmsa starts up furnace converter to boost crude steel output

MEXICO CITY Mexican steelmaker Altos Hornos de México SAB de CV (Ahmsa) has started up a new converter in its basic oxygen furnace No. 1.
With the revamped converter, the furnace will have a capacity of 80 tonnes of crude steel per casting, Ahmsa said.....
