Trucks continue to drive US auto sales

CHICAGO — The top-selling automakers in the United States sold 1.11 million vehicles in April, up 9.5 percent from the same month last year but down 11 percent from sales of more than 1.25 million vehicles in March, the strongest month so far in 2013.

Year-to-date sales of more than 4.28 million vehicles by the top seven automakers were 7.2 percent ahead of the first four months of last year, an AMM analysis shows.....
