Tampakan could supply copper concentrate to Glencore Xstrata's Pasar smelter

SINGAPORE Glencore Xstrata Plc could use copper concentrate from the planned Tampakan copper-gold project to feed its Pasar smelter, according to an executive at Tampakan investor Indophil Resources NL.
Both assets are in the Philippines, and the potential tie-up is an indicator of how the recently merged Glencore Xstrata group may benefit from links between complementary assets.
Tampakan, which isnt due to start up until 2019, could feed the Pasar smelter and still have a significant volume of concentrate left for export, according to Neil Grimes, executive general manager at Indophil.....
