Metalformers’ outlook holds steady

CHICAGO The outlook among companies that stamp, form and fabricate metals products held fairly steady in May compared with April, even though some have experienced uneven order rates and shipments this year.
The proportion of respondents who believe economic trends will improve over the next three months dropped 5 percentage points, according to the latest survey results from the Rocky River, Ohio-based Precision Metalforming Association (PMA). More members viewed the trend as flat (63 percent in May vs. 56 percent in April).....
