Camu pushes for VAT rebates for scrap recyclers

SHANGHAI The China Association of Metal Scrap Utilization (Camu), which represents the countrys ferrous scrap recyclers and consumers, continues to urge the Chinese government to give value-added tax (VAT) rebates to standardized scrap recyclers.
"Camu has been studying a possible reinstatement of the VAT rebate scheme to only standardized recyclers and has been lobbying the government for such an incentive since 2011," association chairman Wang Zhenwu told AMM sister publication Steel First in Shanghai. ....
