Valbruna, Fort Wayne Steel suit vs. Joslyn moves forward

CHICAGO Three years after Valbruna Slater Steel Corp. and Fort Wayne Steel Corp. filed a lawsuit attempting to get the former owner of their properties to pay for environmental remediation, the case is headed for discovery.
Valbruna and Fort Wayne Steel are both headquartered on a site in Fort Wayne, Ind., where Joslyn Manufacturing Co. operated a steel manufacturing plant from 1928 to 1981. Joslyn processed radioactive materials there as part of the Manhattan Project from 1943 to 1949, according to the original complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Indiana,....
