Durant Iron & Metal founder Raymond Waddell dies at 76

PITTSBURGH Raymond E. Waddell Jr., a scrap veteran who spent more than half a century in the industry, has died aged 76.
Waddell, founder of Durant, Iowa-based Durant Iron & Metal Corp., passed away May 25 after an extended illness.
"My grandfather actually worked up until the day that he passed away. He refused to retire and said he never wanted to be away from his yard," said Stephanie Hamilton, who works at the recycling facility.....
