Some operations resume at PT Freeport mine

SINGAPORE PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) has restarted some operations at its Grasberg copper-gold mine in Indonesia but has yet to resume underground mining at the site, a company source told AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin.
"We have resumed operations but are ramping up slowly," the source said.
Operations at the open-pit mine and mill, which were halted after a May 14 tunnel collapse killed 28 people (amm.com, May 14), restarted May 28, PTFI said.....
