Copper scrap discounts hold steady

NEW YORK Discounts for most copper scrap grades remain on par with previous levels, with sources noting that demand from overseas consumers, coupled with domestic supply shortages, continues to buoy the market.
"Europe is still hungry for No. 1 bare bright and No. 1 copper scrap. ... Discounts may continue to tighten if international demand stays strong and metal is still hard to source," one trader told AMM May 29.....
