Mwana Africa’s BNC ramping up output

WINDHOEK, Namibia — Bindura Nickel Corp. (BNC), part of Mwana Africa Plc, is ramping up production at its Trojan Mine and refinery in Zimbabwe to meet a 7,000-tonne-per-year nickel concentrate offtake contract with Glencore Xstrata Plc.

BNC made its first shipment of nickel concentrates to Baar, Switzerland-based Glencore Xstrata April 15 via the Port of Durban in South Africa.

The offtake would be met in the second year of operation, a source at Mwana Africa told AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin.....
