Business ‘strong’ at Saginaw site: GM

CHICAGO Business at General Motors Co.s Saginaw Metal Casting Operations (SMCO) in Michigan is "strong" despite the planned closure of Aleris International Inc.s specification alloy facility in the same city, the automaker says.
"Our SMCO business remains strong and the future is bright, as demonstrated by recent investment announcements," a spokesman for Detroit-based GM said in an e-mail to AMM on May 31.....
